Mr. Brancato’s practice is focused on trial work as well as the representation of small and mid-size businesses, estate administration, real estate transactions and zoning. His present and past clients include: CoachUSA, Emergency Medicine Business Intelligence, Community Coach, Ritz-Carlton Hotel, Showboat Atlantic City, Rockland Coach, N.J. Transit, Lake Arrowhead Club, Port Street Redevelopment Company, Botti Development, Air Technology, Inc., Chabad of Boonton and Mt. Lakes, American International Recovery, Control Security Services, and Triton Corporation/IAG.
Prior to founding McHugh & Brancato with James McHugh, Mark Brancato was an associate with the trial firm of Leary, Bride, Tinker & Moran. He has successfully tried a substantial number of cases involving truck and bus claims, general liability claims, estate contests including undue influence cases, property line disputes, quiet title actions, workers compensation, construction claims, contract disputes and commercial litigation. These matters have been venued in the Chancery and Law Divisions of the Superior Court of New Jersey as well as the Federal Courts. He has a reported Appellate Division decision in the matter of Sotomayor v. Allstate Ins., Co.
Mr. Brancato serves as a court appointed mediator and arbitrator in Morris County and Passaic County. He graduated from Seton Hall University School of Law (1987) and Hofstra University (1982).

Experience:
After being admitted to the NJ bar in 1989, Mr. McHugh practiced as an associate, trial attorney with the Law Firm of Leary, Bride, Tinker & Moran in Cedar Knolls N.J. where he focused on the defense of personal injury and property damage claims.
During his 11 year affiliation with the Leary firm, Mr. McHugh was responsible for a large volume of litigated matters/cases, many of which he tried to successful conclusion.
Throughout his employment with Leary, Bride, Tinker & Moran, Mr. McHugh represented both Plaintiffs and Defendants involved in personal injury litigation. As such he was selected to represent a vast array of clients ranging from individuals who had sustained severe personal injuries in various types of accidents, to large corporations such as: The Ritz Carlton Hotel Co., Vergona Crane Co., Vollers Excavating & Construction Co., and commercial trucking companies, as well as individual home owners, drivers of motor vehicles, public employees and public entities.
In 1999, Mr. McHugh was granted the designation of: “Certified Civil Trial Attorney” by the N.J. Supreme Court, through its Board on Attorney Certification. In successfully attaining this status, Mr. McHugh was deemed to have demonstrated the required levels of experience, education, professional standing, knowledge and, skill in the area of Civil Trial practice.
In March of 2000, Mr. McHugh and his partner, Mark J. Brancato, founded the Law Firm of McHugh & Brancato, LLP. In his capacity as a partner with McHugh & Brancato, Mr. McHugh continues to focus his efforts on Trial practice and the representation of individuals who have been injured in any type of accident, including motor vehicle/truck accidents, construction site accidents, work place injuries, product liability, medical malpractice, slip/trip & fall, dog bite/attacks, etc.
In addition to his representation of personal injury clients, Mr. McHugh has applied his trial skills to the aggressive and effective representation of individuals facing various charges in the Municipal Courts of N.J.
